Responding to the local news saying the new president will rescind the agreement, the minister said the government will honour the deal.
This year the government of Somaliland gave a military base to the Gulf country who is engaged war in Yemen.
Immediately after the agreement, UAE started building the base.
The minister said they want UAE to look the other aspects of the agreement including the construction of Berbera corridor, a route that will link Berbera to Ethiopia, and creation of new civilian airport in Berbera.
