Hargeisa- The two opposition parties met twice in this month with the president of Somaliland, Muse Behi Abdi.

According to Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi and Faisal Ali Warabe the chairmen of Waddani and UCID parties, respectively, the meetings have concerned the issues of common interests such as Somalia and Somaliland talks and the upcoming elections.

On April 2019, the elections for the members of the House of Representatives and the Local Councillors are scheduled. There is an unsolved dispute over the allocation of the 82 seats of the House of Representatives among the six regions of Somaliland.

The parties agreed to form a committee of 15 members representing the three parties to solve the seat allocation conflict.
