Hargeisa- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland Saad Ali Shire has told Hadhwanaagews website that his government welcomes one million US dollars donation from Somalia.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Khadar Gulaid, earlier this week stated that the Federal Government of Somalia has decided to give one million dollars to Sagar Cyclone-hit areas in "Awdal and North-West regions.”

A cyclone that hit parts of Somaliland has devasted the lives of many people. More than fifty people were killed, and other more were wounded. Thousands of people were displaced, and homes, schools, and health centers were destroyed.
