HARGEISA- Abdilaahi Abdi Haji Omar, a senior advisor to the president, who resigned today said the President does not run the country.
"The President is unable to perform his functions. He failed his tasks. Unelected people are running the country. The final decisions are taken by individuals who are not elected by the public,” he said.
Asked by the press, Abdilaahi refused to name the unelected individuals he claimed to run the country.
Speaking at a press conference where he announced that he stepped down, he has accused the President of Somaliland Ahmed Silanyo of inability to perform his presidential functions. He added that others are using his powers instead.
