Hargeisa- The main opposition leader, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi, said they want a reform to be on the electoral system.

The president and the opposition met yesterday.

The registration system was modern and good. But how the election was handled was not good, he said in a press statement held today in Hargeisa

We asked the president to reform the election system.

"Re-opening the registration system includes our suggestions,” he said.

"The biometrics used in the registration phase was not used in the Election Day, facilitating fraud,” he said.

"The other issues we discussed include the government to have tolerance for the opposition and the media. We raised the arrests of the media,” he added.
