Hargeisa- The House of Representatives of Somaliland has approved the Rape and Other Related Offences Bill.

The Bill criminalizes rape and other sexual offences.

The Bill is yet to become a law. All the Bills that are passed by the House of Representatives go to the Upper House.

However, human rights activists welcomed the decision of the House and called it a milestone.
